The Prayer of Salvation (sometimes referred to as the Sinner's Prayer or Salvation Prayer) below, is not an "official prayer" but it is rather a sample prayer for you to follow when asking Jesus Christ into your heart. You may pray to God in your own words if you'd like.

The Prayer of Salvation is only implied in the Bible, as there really isn't any "Official" prayer to ask Jesus into your heart. The basis of this prayer comes from Romans 10:9-10. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

Won't you ask Jesus into your heart today?

Dear God in Heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am heartily sorry for my sins and for the life that I have lived; I am in need of your forgiveness.

I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and He died for my sins. I am now willing to repent and turn away from my sins.

You said in Your Holy Word, Romans 10:9 that if we confess the Lord our God and truly believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved.

Right now, at this moment in time, I confess Jesus to be the Lord of my soul. With all sincerity, in my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. At this very moment I accept that Jesus Christ is my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved.

Thank you Jesus for your unlimited grace which has saved me from my sins. I also thank you Jesus, that your grace never leads to license, but rather it always leads to repentance. I ask you Lord Jesus, to transform my life so that I may bring glory and honor to you alone and not to myself.

Thank you Jesus for dying for me and giving me eternal life.
Amen.

What's Next?

If you said this prayer, or a prayer similar to this, and you meant it with all your heart, we believe that you just got saved and are born again.  Your next question may be, "Now that I am saved, what is next? Where do I go from here?". Most importantly, you need to get yourself into a bible-based church, and study God's Word. Once you have found a church home, you will want to become baptized with water. You may ask, "What does baptized mean?" It means that by accepting Christ, you have been baptized in the spirit, but it is through water-baptism that you show your obedience to the Lord. Water baptism is an outward symbol of your salvation from the dead. You were dead but now you live, for the Lord Jesus Christ has redeemed you for a price! The price was His death on the cross so that you could be set free from your sins and have eternal life.
